Get your kids outside this summer!
Still looking for a camp this summer? Well look no further! We still have space available, but the spots are filling up fast!
Our very first week will be our Ancient Florida week, and we'll have all sorts of games and activities talking about: the ancient extinct animals that used to call Florida home and investigating the fossils they left behind, the indigenous peoples that have been surviving in Florida for thousands of years including the Calusa that once lived on our property, the lifestyle of early Floridians ranging from pirates to pioneers, and even learning about the legacy of the Cookie House on our property!
The second week is the Marine Explorers week, where we will literally and figuratively dive into the waters surrounding our beautiful state. We'll have very hands on with activities like fishing, snorkeling, a seagrass wading trip, etc., all while talking about how important the oceans are to our lives both now and in the future. This is the perfect week for any of your aspiring marine biologists!
The third week is Plant-A-Palooza where we will be going over all things GREEN. We'll explore some of the crazy, unique plants that are native to Florida, discover the fascinating relationships between plants and their pollinators, become superheroes fighting against invasive species, and even get to bring plants home to plant in your own yards!
Last but not least, the fourth and final week is our Florida Animal Fanimalies week. Each day, we'll do a deep on a different group of animals (birds one day, then fish, then reptiles, etc.) that all live in Florida, including how to be good neighbors and peacefully coexist with the wildlife that lives all around us!
