Missing Person Located Deceased

Pond Creek, Oklahoma —
"It is with great sadness that we report that 72-year-old Jerry Golden, who was reported missing on Friday, August 21, and had been missing since Tuesday Aug 18th, has been located today deceased.
Mr. Golden was last seen at approximately 0900 hours in Pond Creek, Oklahoma. Shortly after he was reported missing, a Silver Alert was issued to assist in locating him.
Mr. Golden was located in Grant County, approximately four miles north of Pond Creek on U.S. Highway 81. The Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office was notified shortly after authorities located Mr. Golden.
Next of kin has been notified.
We sincerely appreciate the public's assistance and the quick response from everyone who helped share the Silver Alert and information regarding Mr. Golden's disappearance.
At this time, no further information is available for release. Additional information will be provided if and when it becomes appropriate to do so.
Our thoughts are with Mr. Golden's family and loved ones during this difficult time."

Unsolved murder near Kingfisher in 1977.

Today is a special day dedicated to our 2025–26 Case of the Year: the unsolved murder of Mary Harrison. On a cold, windy Saturday in January 1977, 63-year-old Mary Harrison was heartlessly attacked in her own home on her farm outside Kingfisher, Oklahoma. She was stabbed over 40 times and nearly decapitated in a frenzied assault.

Almost fifty years later, the same questions remain. Mary’s family, friends, and community still don't know who killed her or why. Countless hours of investigation by law enforcement have yet to provide answers.

We are asking you, our friends and followers, to please help by sharing our posts. Every share could bring Mary's family one step closer to the answers they deserve.

UPDATE:

Mr. Golden has been located. PCPD said this is the only information that is being given and that they will issue a press release later this evening.

MISSING:

"Jerry Golden of Pond Creek Ok has been reported missing from his home on Tuesday Aug 19th 2026. Golden is 72 year old native American 5 foot, 150 lb with gray hair and brown eyesMr. Golden was last seen at First state Bank of Pond Creek making a withdraw of small amount of money in the early morning. Mr. Golden made statements on Monday of possibly visiting his sister in Weleetka Ok. Mr. Golden was driving a 2001 black Chevy sk1 pickup. Possible Indian nation tags. Last tag number on file is Ok MMK 709. If seen. Please contact your local police."

The truck in the photo is silver but he was actually driving a black truck.

The Champion splash pad sensor has gone out. A City of Enid crew will be out first thing in the morning to replace the sensor.
