It’s Friday, FRIday, FRIDAAAAY! It’s pitch black when I hit the trail these days and I occasionally get to see some shooting stars. I did catch one this morning but I also saw something I’ve never seen before.

I caught it out of the corner of my eye and thought it was the end of another shooting star. But when I looked directly at it there was a faint glow about it, almost like a tiny white cloud. It was like a faint glob of white moving very fast across the skyline. It seemed more in the atmosphere rather than out in space. Within about 5 seconds it had crossed from west to east and disappeared into the light pollution of the city lights.

When you spend time stargazing you never know what you might see. I’m going to have to chalk that one up to the unexplained.
