It can be challenging to deal with big box stores, especially when trying to obtain a clear understanding of what you can send and the total cost of the process.

I find it hard to believe that big-box digital conversion companies charge $7.00 for tape conversions and advertise never-ending 60% off sales can afford to pay more than the federal minimum wage, and still make a profit.

These companies must spend thousands of dollars on actresses and actors to portray satisfied customers, and pay thousands of dollars to social media platforms to keep those ads in your face.

Are they just bulk media processing companies that sacrifice professional-grade results to maximize profit from the pallets of priceless recordings waiting on a warehouse floor to be processed?

And with nothing more than a promise that they will complete your project in around 12 weeks.

These are photos I've found online of one of these very popular "Digital conversion companies." Observe the vast number of consumer-grade VCR/DVD combo machines that they use to convert your priceless memories.

Do they really monitor your barcoded memories from start to finish, or do they jam your tape into a substandard consumer-grade machine, push play, and then move to the next machine?

My mission is to save your families priceless memories you've recorded over a lifetime on VHS video, Super 8 & 8 mm film, Audio cassette or photographs by converting them to a digital format using video and audio editing software tools, state of the art professional grade JVC S-VHS Recorders combined with my knowledge and experience.

The business of receiving a family’s only set of recorded history is a huge responsibility and I take it very seriously. I care a great deal about each customers memories and treat them as if they were my own. I provide excellent customer service and that requires communication, discretion, respect for the materials and the people I deal with. I must earn your trust and confidence from the very first phone contact or messaging opportunity. And unlike many of the other companies that offer to convert your memories and simply digitize them and send them back to you, I add a personal touch to my services that give you the peace of mind to know that I have your best interests in mind.

I offer a wide variety of editing and restoration services you will see listed under “The Services” section on my page. The services I provide range from the conversion of Film, Video, Photos, slides, negatives, and audio cassettes. I use the latest version of editing software available from the manufacturers. I use a Windows 10 64 bit based OS platform installed on very capable computers systems. All of my computer systems have built-in back up and are set up for redundancy in case of hardware failure.

My process includes the use of ESD materials which stands for Electrostatic Discharge these precautionary measures prevent damage to your recordings that can occur from simply walking across the carpeting. Static discharge is the shock you experience when you touch someone or something when you are not properly grounded. This shock is very damaging to your recordings.
