Athlete(s) of the Week: Tucker Burtchett & Kilkenny Oakes
Tucker and Kilkenny, both 8th graders, have stepped into the season with a kind of steady confidence that only grows stronger every game. They’ve become the team’s unofficial engine room, pushing the pace, setting the tone, and showing the younger players what it looks like to compete with purpose. On the court, they work as a dynamic and downright destructive tag team, disrupting plays on defense and creating opportunities on offense with the kind of instinctive chemistry that only comes from trust and hard work.

Their leadership doesn’t switch off when practice begins. They show up ready to work, ready to improve, and ready to challenge not only each other but everyone around them. It is rare to see two athletes so committed to elevating an entire team, but that is exactly what they’ve done. Their preparation and effort have helped carry the Wildcats to an undefeated start to the season, and the ripple effect of their mindset is already visible in the growth of their teammates.

If this early stretch is any indication, Tucker and Kilkenny are helping build something special this year. Their drive fuels the team. Their teamwork makes the Wildcats dangerous. And their leadership is shaping a promising season into one with real potential.

Student of the Month: Luke Husar
Luke Husar is our Elementary Student of the Month, and the recognition fits him perfectly. He is one of the most polite and steady students in our second grade, moving through each day with a calm kindness that never wavers. Luke doesn’t look for attention or praise; he simply treats people well because it is who he is.
He is consistently respectful, thoughtful, and attentive, and he brings a quiet reliability to every class. Teachers know they can count on him, and his classmates benefit from the example he sets. Luke always tries to do what is right, even when no one is watching, which says more about his character than any award could.
We are proud to celebrate Luke this month. His kindness strengthens our school community, and his steady presence makes Harrison a better place for everyone.
