Spent $1200 to visit my dad — flights, hotel, food, and $50 (ones or quarters only- in a clear bag) for overpriced, ultra-processed “food.”

Still… every second with him? Priceless.

The shake after was self care for me bc visiting is such a hard emotional, taxing process… especially solo.

Family, food, and a healing environment should be the foundation of rehabilitation. Not punishment.

Cynthia was Usha's best friend.

11/19 happened and truthfully, we didn't have capacity to post. 11/19 is the anniversary of Usha's passing. We created space to mourn, grieve, and honour her. Usha, at the age of 29 accomplished so much and stood her ground. She is a resilient soul.

Usha was murdered in 1991 and 22 years LATER the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department (LASD) arrested Shanker with substantial evidence. ALL BASED IN FALSE CONFESSIONS.

Freedom truly suits Shanker Patel, doesn't it? ✨

It's disheartening to learn that Shanker had no other option but to remove 9 of his implants manually while incarcerated. This act is extremely detrimental because performing self-surgeries in jail or prison settings can lead to severe health risks, infections, and complications. At the same time, he didn't have a choice because the implant screws were losening each day.

As we welcome Leo Season, we acknowledge that Shankar's birthday is such a bittersweet moment for the family. ♌ Celebrating a father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, grandfather can be difficult when they are inside of a prison with no family visitation.

Here are 3 ways you can celebrate and uplift Shankar's life and freedom

Right now, Shanker is having a hard time eating in prison. His life depends on his freedom.
