City of Enterprise, Ala., City Hall ribbon cutting ceremony was at 9AM on 8-11-25. Good turn out from City Leaders, City Employees as well as citizens and industry representatives that documented the monumental occasion. The City Hall was originally built in 1968 and the renewal of the city's services headquarters was renewed for approximately $8.8M. U.S. Army Fort Rucker provided a UH-60 Flyby as part of the National Anthem that started the ceremony. The press release quotes Mayor Cooper “This renovation has been years in the making and marks a significant milestone for our city,” Cooper said. “The building has seen little change since it was built in 1968, so we’re proud to deliver these long-overdue improvements to the people of Enterprise, and to live up to our reputation as ‘The City of Progress.’” Enterprise Chamber of Commerce Downtown Enterprise

**Emergency Evacuation at Command Sgt. Maj. Bennie G. Adkins State Veterans Home**
On April 16th, 2025, all veterans were safely evacuated from the recently opened home due to fire.
Fortunately, Coffee County Emergency Management Agency reported no injuries.

The swift response was made possible by:
• City of Enterprise, Ala. Fire and Police Departments
• Coffee County Sheriff's Office - Alabama
• Multiple agencies from surrounding towns/counties including key equipment from U.S. Army Fort Novosel & AVCOE Fire Department
* Numerous community organizations and volunteers

The Ribbon Cutting for the City of Enterprise, Ala. $23 million, 70,000 sq. ft. Recreation and Aquatic Center was today. Local dignitaries, community leaders and supporters from the community attended the event. 421 E. Lee Street / Enterprise Parks and Recreation for more information.
