-Structure Fire(s)

There were three incidents of structure fires reported this morning within a span of approximately 10 hours. The first fire occurred at 445 E 24th St and was dispatched at around 12:22AM. The second fire happened at 250 E 21st St and was dispatched at approximately 7:06AM. The third fire took place at 2810 Ash Street Boulevard and was dispatched at around 9:51AM. Unfortunately, we were not available during the incidents, but we did manage to capture the aftermath of the first two fires at 445 E 24th and 250 E 21st earlier today. We were unable to reach Ash Street Boulevard.

When considering the total time spent on scene by responders, it amounted to 10 hours and 11 minutes.

Great job to the Erie Firefighters IAFF Local 293 for their efforts.

Please refer to local news sources for any updates on the investigation of these three fires, as they are still under investigation.

Wishing you an amazing Fourth of July! Please refer to one of our recent post regarding safety during the holiday! 🎆

07/02/2023

As we approach the Fourth of July, I would like to emphasize the importance of prioritizing safety for everyones well-being.

In 2021, approximately 11,500 individuals sought emergency medical care and 11 were killed due to fireworks-related injuries during the month surrounding the Fourth of July, as reported by the CPSC.

Here are a few safety measures you can take to ensure the well-being of you and others during the holiday season:

• Make sure fireworks are legal in your area before buying or using them.
• Light fireworks one at a time, then move back quickly.
• Never allow children to play with or ignite fireworks, including sparklers.
• Never use fireworks while impaired by alcohol or drugs.
• Ensure that you have a designated driver if you're driving, as the potential risks outweigh any benefits.

If you encounter an emergency, dial 911.

Have an amazing holiday. 🎆
