The CDC is investigating recalled eyedrops after infections cause death and blindness

The CDC says it's investigating a drug-resistant strain of bacteria in patients that reported using artificial tears or eyedrops. Ten different brands of were involved but the most common was Ezri Care Artificial Tears.

Infections from drug-resistant bacteria have caused death and illness in 68 patients across the U.S., the CDC says. The strain has been linked to recalled eyedrops like EzriCare Artificial Tears.

"The Wire" star Lance Reddick, 60, died Friday, his publicist said.

Police were called to a home in the Valley Village neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, around 9:30 a.m.

"Acclaimed actor Lance Reddick passed away suddenly this morning from natural causes," his publicist Mia Hansen said. "Lance will be greatly missed. Please respect his family’s privacy at this time."

Reddick was best known for his role as Baltimore police lieutenant Cedric Daniels in the highly regarded HBO drama "The Wire," which ran from 2002 to 2008. Most recently Reddick starred as Charon in the John Wick movie franchise. The movie's stars were in the midst of a press tour for "John Wick: Chapter 4" ahead of its release in theaters on March 24.

New Wheelchair, organized by Nathaniel Sanders

A developing story in Erie involves a Mercyhurst hockey player throwing an unoccupied wheelchair down a flight of stairs on Saturday night. The school is investigating & a GoFundMe has been established to replace the wheelchair.

The goal has already been met & nearing 4 times the original amount hoped for. Keep in mind...wheelchairs require regular maintenance, parts, & more to help an individual in their daily routine. Please feel free to donate below...

Interstate 79 N is closed from Exit 154 (Route 198, Conneautville/Saegertown) to Exit 166 (Route 6N, Edinboro) due to removal of a tractor trailer in the median. The roadway is expected to reopen later today.
