The eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 in Erie County are closed from Exit 9 (Route 18 / Girard / Platea) to Exit 16 (Route 98 / Fairview / Franklin Center) due to a multi-vehicle crash. A detour is posted using Route 215, Route 20, and Route 98. The roadway is expected to reopen later today once the scene has been cleared.

PennDOT is temporarily reducing the speed limit on I 86 & I 90 in the northwest region. PennDOT is urging motorists to avoid unnecessary travel but those who must head out will see speeds reduced to 45 mph on the following highways:
Interstate 86 from beginning of I-86 to the New York state line
Interstate 90 from the Ohio state line to the New York state line
On roadways with speed restrictions, commercial vehicles not affected by restrictions on these or other roadways must move to the right lane.

An Apple A Day May Really Keep The Doctor Away: A new study by the University of Reading reveals that an apple a day may keep the doctor away. Researcher Gunther Kuhnle says, ''To reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease, we recommend consuming 400mg-600mg of flavan-3-ols, per day. This is equivalent to a couple of cups of tea, some red or purple berries, and an apple. It is far more effective to take in your daily amount as healthy food or beverages than to take a supplement. For most people, it will probably be easy to meet this as three cups of tea are usually enough. But those who don’t drink (much) tea could consider [picking] their five-a-day from a group of fruits and vegetables that are high in flavanols such as apples.''

Please keep in mind ZooBOO is a family-friendly event and we cannot accept anything that is too scary, gory, bloody or violent. I wrote – and with Bill Drake, co-produced – the legendary 52 hour HISTORY OF ROCK ‘N’ ROLL, which aired on more than 800 radio stations worldwide and earned Billboard’s “Top Special Program of the Year” award. Wink Martindale and I are now assembling episodes of an all-new, two-hour weekly barter series edition of THE HISTORY OF ROCK ‘N’ ROLL which will debut nationally the weekend of June 5 and 6. Even some news-talk stations are signing up – not just to provide a weekend treat for their listeners but because this series has been carefully designed to appeal to the very demographic they want to attract.

Each hour of THE HISTORY OF ROCK ‘N’ ROLL with WINK MARTINDALE will consist of 47:50 of content divided into four segments – plus a two-minute artist spotlight feature hosted by me -- Gary Theroux. There are 12 minutes of commercial avails per hour, half filled in with network spots. There’s also room for a ten second top-of-the-hour station ID.
