I was 13 years old when I heard SICK OF IT ALL for the first time. Their music and message impacted me in so many ways, marking the beginning of the life long influence hardcore would have on my life.

I first saw Sick Of It All live in 1995, at Soma in San Diego. Orange 9mm and Korn opened the show, and then Lou and Sick Of It All stormed onto the stage like nothing I had ever seen before. The power and intensity were unmatched! Over the decades I saw them many more times and it was always the same - pure energy and passion, with Lou acting as the conductor of it all!

Sick Of It All’s influence on the hardcore and underground music scenes is impossible to fully grasp but I can humbly say that without their influence I would have never played in the bands that I did and would have never started Facedown Records. Lou and SOIA were the stone thrown into a calm lake, creating powerful waves that will continue for decades to come. Thank you Lou.
