Although there’s very little snow north of I-90, the traditional snow belt areas like Wattsburg, Union City, Corry, and my good old hometown of Waterford are dealing with lake effect snow and strong winds this morning. If you live in those areas, bundle the kids up: Wind chills will be in the 20s.

UPDATE: Lanes are now open.

Allan with a traffic update: There has been a crash on I-79 northbound between .2 miles south of Exit 178B: I-90 WEST - CLEVELAND and 1.2 miles north of Exit 178B: I-90 WEST - CLEVELAND. It happened about 20 minutes ago. Traffic has been disrupted. Crews expect to clear the area around 9:40am.

Happy Saturday! It’s Allan. Just a reminder that although downtown Erie winter parking regulations technically begin today, they actually will take effect on Monday.

Starting Monday, November 3, winter parking regulations will be in effect on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the City of Erie, meaning drivers will have to park on one side of the street or the other during the enforced hours.
