CASTING CALL in Erie!
3 paid roles for approx. 5 hours of work:
Sarah - late 60s / early 70s
Sophia - late 60's / early 70s
Robert - mid-late 60s
These roles will be part of a series of short videos for an educational video game that teaches the player how to avoid falling victim to scams. There are no lines, and each of these characters will be filmed at different times on our virtual production set. We are looking to film between 8/12-8/14. We will only need each actor for a 1/2 day each (5 hours). If anyone is interested in learning more about the project, please email [email protected] with a headshot, their rate (5 hours), and their availability on 8/12, 8/13, and 8/14.

Jess launched Menajerie Studio in 2013 as a way to turn her passion for filmmaking into a lifelong career. Around Erie, Jess is known for her entrepreneurship and community development advocacy and was featured as part of the Erie Reader’s 40 Under 40 in 2017. The success of MenajErie Studio in the wake of Erie’s renaissance has even caught the eye of major news outlets such as NPR.

In 2017, MenajErie produced Rust Belt New Americans: A Film About the Refugee Experience, which has won several awards at film festivals nationwide. In 2022, she co-founded Liquid Light Factory - an Extended Reality installation design and technology firm - and handles the marketing, business development, public relations, sales, project management, and project design.

As a creative business owner, sometimes its a good idea to take a step back and appreciate what you've built. It's been a terrifying and thrilling experience growing MenajErie Studio over the years - from a room above a garage, to our current studio we could of only dreamed of building back then. And now its time we share what we learned to help new entrepreneurs taking the plunge!
