Poly carb is a green light for Box Stock. ๐ฆ
Yes โ you can run a polycarbonate body in Box Stock at the SD Alpha Cup 2026. One rule: it has to be the body that came in your kit. ๐
Box Stock is race-it-as-it-comes. This is for kits that ship a poly shell (the โPoly Body Specialโ editions) โ not a poly body you bought separately and bolted on.
โ
ALLOWED
โ Polycarbonate (clear) body IF it came in your kit โ
โ Painted is optional
โ Kit stickers applied
โ Body catches secured front AND rear
โ Built per your kit manual, kit-supplied parts only
โ NOT ALLOWED
โ Poly body bought separately or pulled from another kit
โ Poly body with no stickers
โ Swapping the body onto a different chassis
โ Mixing body or wing from another kit
โ Cutting/drilling beyond what your kit manual calls for
โ Body detaching during a race (instant DQ)
๐ The Box Stock line: if it didnโt come in your box, it doesnโt race. Polyโs welcome โ but only the poly thatโs yours straight out of the kit.
๐ก What this means for you: Got a Neo-VQS Poly Body Special or similar? Paint it, sticker it, catch it front and rear, run it stock. Clean build, fair race.
โก Want any body on any chassis, mix-and-match? Thatโs BMAX โ different class, different rules.
50 racers. One track. San Diegoโs first real Mini 4WD tournament.
