Come out tonight for the opening ceremony at the Manchester Stadium of Cathedral Catholic High School in Del Mar. See you there :)

This is the campaign! A campaign very dear to me, because I have Cervical Dystonia, a chronic neurological disorder. Though faced with times of adversity I was able to do some great things and not let dystonia stop me from doing so. Let's uplift those with Dystonia to keep on fighting! September has been Dystonia Awareness Month, but let's continue on past that and promote dystonia awareness!

Tagged by my friend of many years, Kristen Paruginog, the founder of Break the Silence Against Domestic Violence, I accept the !

Take some of these numbers to mind:
1 in 4 women become victims of domestic violence.
1 in 7 men become victims of domestic violence.
A woman is beaten every 9 seconds in the USA.
10,000,000 children are exposed to domestic violence each year.
1,300 deaths are caused each year due to domestic violence.
These are just SOME of the facts.

The Survivor Whistle was created for bystanders and victims of domestic violence to use in emergency situations they may see or may be experiencing. This whistle is significant in an awareness perspective because it encourages us to "blow the whistle against domestic violence".

I now challenge you all to get your whistle at breakthesilencedv.org, and make your to post on your social media networks!

What an honor it is to be a part of such a movement. Let's empower our survivors, lessen the amount of victims, learn about the dangers of domestic violence, and TOGETHER let's END domestic violence.

Hi all! Wanted to share this with you on my official page too :)

Last September I was humbly given the honor to be an ePatient Scholar at Stanford University's Stanford Medicine X, an outstanding conference that showcases new ideas about the future of medicine and health care, and the power of social media and information technology to better the practice of medicine and empower patients. The "X" in means that it is beyond numbers/trends... it represents the endless possibilities in improving health.

THIS is my ePatient Ignite! Talk, "Music Inspiring Health: Utilizing What You Love". I have performed all my life and have set foot on many stages but this stage and this message was unlike any other. This was my most vulnerable, most emotional, this was all of my heart.

THIS is my story on my journey so far living with a neurological disorder/condition, even considered a rare disease, called Cervical Dystonia, and what I have gone through to now become an engaged and empowered patient. My story involves music as my medicine: through singing, through my American Idol experiences, and through PASACAT Philippine Performing Arts Company, a company I am part of that has healed me and continues to heal me in so many aspects.

The weekend is here! There's an amazing celebration I will be a part of: the JUNE 5-7: Balboa Park Centennial 2015 Philippine American Celebration!!! I will be singing and serving some buttah'd soul on SATURDAY, JUNE 6, 2015 at around 12:45PM at the beautiful Spreckels Organ Pavilion.

I will also be performing with my dance family PASACAT Philippine Performing Arts Company, TONIGHT, Friday, at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion as Opening Ceremonies start at 6:00PM. A beautiful collaboration with The Filipino-American Symphony Orchestra, a number of other incredible Philippine Dance companies, The Balangay and the People of the Philippines, and Martin Nievera (Official Page) headlining tonight!

Saturday, catch glimpses of the Philippines through dance, the Evolution of Singkil, and American Idol supah-staaah Jessica Sanchez! (Spreckels Organ Pavilion)

Sunday, catch me get my praise on with St. Rita's Folk Choir at the House of Pacific Relations Performance Space in Balboa Park at 11AM!

I. Have. Never. Been. So. Excited............to share with you all that I will be singing the US National Anthem for the San Diego Padres this season!!! Playing the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday, April 13, 7:10PM, I am humbled by being given this honor to sing. I've never had an opportunity like this, and it blows my mind that not only am I singing at a Major League Baseball game, but I'm singing for my hometown team.....I'm blessed. So blessed. See you guys there!⚾️
