Falcon

Falcon Founded in 1979, FalconGuides is the leading publisher of outdoor content.

For more than 30 years, FalconGuides have set the standard for outdoor recreation content. With contributions by top outdoors experts and enthusiasts, we invite readers to experience the endless adventure and beauty of the great outdoors. Falcon Publishing was founded in Helena, Montana, in 1979 with one book—Hiking Montana by company co-founder and president Bill Schneider. From there Falcon went

on to become North America's leading publisher of outdoor recreation books, its list growing to more than 700 titles before becoming part of the Globe Pequot family in the fall of 2000. With books and content covering the entire spectrum of outdoor activities, ranging from hiking and rock climbing guides to environmental preservation and wildlife identification, our objective is to outfit your mind with the best possible information on where to go, how to get there, and what to see once you arrive. Our online community brings people who love the outdoors together to share experiences and encourage others to get outside! A large part of Falcon's continued success as the world's leading publisher of outdoor recreation content comes from our unwavering focus. We do more than lead readers from Point A to Point B; we engage the spirit of the sports lover and capture the very heart and soul of outdoor America, its fascinating history, and its incomparable beauty. 30 years and hundreds of books, tens of thousands of maps, and countless trips into the wilderness later, a FalconGuide continues to feel as much at home on a coffee table as it does dog-eared and beaten in a backpack. And our commitment to delivering content in whatever way the outdoor community needs is unmatched.

🌿 Meet Jermia, one of our 2025 NextGen Trail Leaders! 🌿

As a NextGen Trail Leader, Jermia is passionate about ensuring that everyone, no matter where they live, has access to trails and safe, beautiful outdoor areas.

When we asked Jermia what excites her most about becoming a NextGen Trail Leader, she shared, "I’m looking forward to helping communities get connected with nature because I want everyone to have access to gorgeous open areas where they can relax and take a break from being around buildings all day."

Jermia is committed to advocacy, inspiring action, and helping others find the same deep, soul-nourishing connection to nature that has meant so much to her.

Join us in welcoming Jermia to the NextGen Trail Leaders program!
