Publisher of books for young readers and big dreamers ages 0-16, including high-quality fiction and nonfiction board books, picture books, chapter books, and middle grade novels that empower young readers to believe what’s possible. Our books include characters, storylines and topics with themes of perseverance, self-determination, growth mindset, and believing what's possible to achieve big dreams. So excited to be working with Robin Mellom on her middle grade novel, THE HAPPINESS PROJECT.

Angela Quezada Padron at Dream Jar Publishing/Yellow Brick Books has acquired world rights to The Happiness Project by Robin Mellom (Confessions From the Principal’s Kid), a middle grade novel about a sixth grade girl who discovers her school’s wellness technology is being used to manipulate students’ emotions and engineer their behavior to ensure their happiness. She is determined to expose the project before it spreads nationwide, and along the way learns her own happiness can’t be programmed but must come from within. Publication is set for Fall, 2028.

I’ve been sitting on this news for a while but so excited to now share that Thornton W. Blease has joined the Dream Team at !PREHISTORIC PLACE: ESCAPE FROM THE TYRANT LIZARD, illustrated by involves dinosaurs, stop motion animation, adventure, time travel, and action - the perfect combination for Thor’s talents. Dream Jar Publishing has had the privilege of acquiring another fantastic book by the uber talented Medeia Sharif! This one is going to be spooky and thrilling!

Angela Quezada Padron at Yellow Brick Books, an imprint of Dream Jar Publishing, has acquired world rights to Curse on the Miami River: Legend of the Sneaker Guru by Medeia Sharif (Girl Without a Face, Gold Medal Florida Book Award winner Frizzy Haired Zuzu). This thrilling middle grade novel is about a seventh grade boy named Ahmed who sells his soul to a paranormal being in exchange for designer sneakers and elevated socioeconomic status, but when his world starts unraveling he must defeat the evil entity to break the curse in order to reclaim his life and prevent others from meeting the same fate. Publication is set for Spring 2028; the author represented herself.

I am beyond thrilled to have acquired HENRY WADDLESON’S FIELD OF DREAMS written by Norma and Stacy B. Davids, illustrated by John Steven Gurney. As soon as I read the story, I fell in love. It wasn’t just the adorable character of Henry, but also
- the own voice aspect of Henry missing a wing, inspired by Norma’s own disability
- the inclusion of baseball, my favorite sport!
- Henry’s ups and downs with self-doubt, resilience, and determination to achieve his dreams
- the beautiful connection between Henry and his sister Lily who’s his biggest fan
- the humorous parts (who doesn’t love the name Quackie Robinson!!)
- and most of all THE HEART!!!
This book needs to be in the world, and I think kids will root on Henry as they relate to his story so many ways. And I believe this book will be a fantastic mentor text for so many authors. Norma and Stacy are a dynamic duo and give a masterclass on how to write an effective fictional story. I can’t wait for the world to meet Henry!!
