Two of my zines (Polaroid Passport and Afterglow 6) are on display and free to read at The Arts Center - Corvallis, OR all this month. I stopped by yesterday and I’ll be back on the 20th for the art walk. It’s right by downtown Corvallis, stop by and show some love if you are in the area and able!

I’m blown away by the response from yesterday’s post! Thanks so much for all the shares, follows, and likes, I’m already talking to a few contributors too! I’ll need more though and this will be different from Afterglow. I want a ruthless opposition to corruption and lies. I want to possibly raise some money in order to make a lot of copies and give them away for free, I also want to make a free printable pdf version. Not sure of all the specifics yet or if it would work. But I’m aiming for a small, 24 page or so monthly publication. Distributed all over as much as possible. I would really like to hear from some trans voices (or other marginalized communities) in particular about messages they want to get out, but might feel unsafe to post online. We can all use aliases. It’s about spread of information, not fame. Let’s use our words!

I’m very honored to have two of my zines on display at the The Arts Center - Corvallis, OR gallery! I’ll be there on Thursday, March 20st for the reception and art walk, but the zines will be posted and available to read now through April 5! It’s really rewarding for me to have something I’ve always considered art in a gallery setting. I’ve had plenty of gallery shows of drawing and painting, but never for zines! My art and zines are pretty much my only source of income at the time, so please check it out if you can or check out my art at www.Afterglowzine.org

I’m feeling inclined lately to make a political zine. I’ve mostly strayed from politics at least in issues I am specific about. But I really can’t allow what is happening now. Everyone knows social media is not to be trusted. Any digital mark can be tracked and can’t be trusted. Printed physical objects are real and demand attention!! They can’t control what we print at home and distribute independently. We decide the record. We have control!!! This is the way to distribute your ideas freely without censorship and fear of harm. We need zines more than ever!!! 🇵🇸
