In a lot of ways I miss the girl I was at the beginning of 2020.

I was mentally and physically tougher. I was more disciplined. I was discovering a healthy relationship with food and alcohol. Even when the pandemic hit, I was able to fight through most of my anxiety and find peace by maintaining good habits: cooking nourishing foods, training for a marathon, being in nature.

Then winter hit. I think the combination of a divided country (election years are the literal worst), dreary weather, and my undiagnosed Hashimoto’s finally took me to a bad place.

The positive here is that I started making reels as a distraction/creative outlet, not knowing that it would lead to one of the coolest things I’ve ever created - this badass community of humans (100k+ of you 🙏🏼😭) who want to see women take their power back…or maybe you’re just here for the tasteful nudes. Either way, I’m so f*cking grateful for all of you and this opportunity.

So as I set my intentions for 2022, I envision an Anne that is a combination of the last two years. A woman who fights for YOUR health and happiness, but also one who fights for her own. I know she’s going to be the happiest version yet.

Things I’m shedding in 2022:

- The pressure to fill every opening in my calendar (success shouldn’t mean burnout)
- Alcohol
- Saying yes to things that negatively impact my mental health
- Stress-driven eating
- Sedentary habits (who wants to train for a half marathon with me 🙋🏼‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️)

Some days life actually does feel like a blur...

Schedules to keep, deadlines to make, things to create, clean, or buy… 😵‍💫

Today I got up and sat outside as the sun was rising. I let the light hit my face, took some deep breaths, and actually thanked the universe for putting me where I am RIGHT NOW.

Trust the timing of things, and don't forget to slow down enough to enjoy a sunrise (or two).

I just can’t get over how beautiful this is, or how grateful I am to be able to document these sweet, peaceful moments between Kendall + Garland before they welcome their first babe next month.

The amount of shame women still receive for breastfeeding (in public or on social media) is unreal.

It’s natural. It’s magical. It’s a lot of work. It should be supported and honored everywhere. Let’s normalize this s**t, ok? Ok.

I am continually grateful for this platform, which has, more often than not, put me in the path of so many amazing humans.

Working with Brooke of was honestly the most magical day. I didn’t realize how much I’d missed photographing collaborations like this one until I got a tad emotional about it on my drive home 🙏🏼
