The Oregon Ducks touched down in Los Angeles a few days ago. The team got right to work and all the pomp and circumstance of the Rose Bowl got into full swing. Oregon and Ohio State. Two former traditional teams meeting in "The Granddaddy of Them All" but now belonging to the same conference. None of that matters now as we have reached game day.

The weather in Pasadena has been beautiful all week long. High clouds will be the call with plenty of sunshine as the game kicks off. The temperature at kickoff will be in the low 70s and a light southwest wind at 6 mph will make it feel absolutely perfect. The Rose Bowl, at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains, is possibly the most beautiful location for a game to be played. Again, I will say what I said several months ago. The Rose Bowl should be the location of the National Championship game every year.

If you are watching on TV, or at the game in Pasadena, make sure to wear Oregon gear! Let's cheer on the boys to another big win. Go Ducks!

The Oregon Ducks took care of business last weekend and have gone undefeated in the regular season. 12-0 is a huge accomplishment and they aren't done yet. The Ducks arrived in Indianapolis for the B1G Ten Conference Championship ready to win it in their first season. Facing Oregon is Penn State who got the invite following Ohio State's loss to Michigan. Penn State is a talented team, but they have yet to really put it together against a stronger and more talented team.

The game is played indoors at Lucas Oil Stadium so the weather won't be a concern. Outside the stadium, it's a beautiful midwest winter day. Temperatures are in the upper 30s and will top out just about 40 at kickoff. It is quite windy outside of the stadium, however. Winds are sustained at about 15 mph with gusts near 25 mph. Wear GREEN if you are at the game or just watching from home! Let's cheer on the boys to their first B1G Ten title and get ready for the College Football Playoffs. Go Ducks!

Here we go! We've reached the final regular season game of Oregon's first season in the B1G Ten conference. To say it's been an adventure is an understatement. Oregon has already locked up a spot in the conference title game next weekend in Indianapolis. While it is nice knowing Oregon has another game, the Ducks will need to take care of business today first, and it is the biggest game of the year. The Washington Huskies played spoiler last year twice, and Oregon has not forgotten that. The Ducks will be ready to play.

The weather at Autzen Stadium will be perfect. No need to worry about rain or wind. Temperatures are cold in the Willamette Valley, and won't get above 40 degrees during the game. It's sunny in Eugene as we approach kickoff. Fog will settle in later but skies will be mostly clear for the whole game. A very light wind will make it feel a degree or two colder. If you are at Autzen or watching on TV, make sure to wear GREEN. Beat Washington and Go Ducks! Oh, before I go..."Kenny Wheaton is gonna score!"

The Oregon Ducks have arrived at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin. The Ducks come in after taking care of business last week against Maryland. Every good team has a game or two where you face adversity, whether from your opponent or yourself. Oregon was able to overcome challenges and continue its run in the B1G Ten Conference. The Ducks now find themselves on another long road trip, but to a place where they have been before.

The Midwest weather will cooperate as the crowd jumps around. The temperatures will hold steady throughout the game in the upper 40s. The wind could be a potential issue. A vigorous cold front pushes through the area, with a strong south wind at 15 mph sustained while gusting 25 to 30 mph. Satellite imagery shows the two dominant airflow patterns over Wisconsin clearly. If you are at Camp Randall, enjoy the atmosphere because it is one of the great college football experiences. Whether you are at the stadium or just watching on tv, make sure to wear BLACK. Let's cheer on the boys to another win and let's head into the bye week healthy. Go Ducks!

The Oregon Ducks return home after taking care of business in Ann Arbor last Saturday. "Are you not entertained?" was the rallying cry of the team that traveled 2300 miles to play in the largest college football stadium and come away with a win. While Oregon traveled a long way to play in the mitten last weekend, this week's opponent came even further. College Park, Maryland is 2800 miles east of Eugene. If you wanted to drive that route, it would take about 42 hours according to Google Maps, traveling through 11 states.

The Terrapins (a diamondback species of the turtle family) come to Eugene looking to play spoiler on Oregon's amazing season. Maryland will find the weather at Autzen Stadium mostly pleasant for football on this lovely Saturday. Increasing clouds will be the call as the chance of showers increases as kickoff approaches. There is a decent chance that Don Essig's phrase "It never rains at Autzen Stadium" will hold true today. The temperature at kickoff will be in the mid-50s and it should stay there for the whole game. A very light west wind will change direction during the game, but won't pose any issues. If you're going to the game or watching on TV, make sure to wear GREEN. Let's cheer on the boys to another B1G victory. Go Ducks!

There are always games or teams you circle when the schedule comes out each year that you know will be just a little bit different than the others. This week's game is that game for me. Growing up, I was raised on the traditional B1G Ten brand of football. My parents are from the Midwest and my father and mother grew up in the state of Michigan, and I have a lot of family who still live there. It's a special place to me because of that. I've seen one game at Michigan Stadium, aka "The Big House." I witnessed Michigan beat Oregon State a few years back, before driving to East Lansing to see Oregon take on Michigan State. I have always loved the University of Michigan and I was so happy to see them win the national title last year. I will cheer for Michigan every day...except this Saturday. I went to Oregon. I'm an Oregon Duck and I want Oregon to win, but you will excuse me when I get a little emotional hearing the Victors played when Michigan takes the field and Oregon is right behind them. Thank you for allowing me to share that with you all.

Now onto the DuckCast for Saturday's game at Michigan Stadium. The weather will be perfect for a fall day in Ann Arbor. Sunny skies will dominate for the whole day. The temperature at kickoff will be about 55 degrees. A very light wind will be coming from the south, but will have a hard time being felt in the bowl. There are special days in the Midwest during the fall, this will be one of them. If you are joining the other 100,000 plus fans in the stands, or just watching on television, make sure to wear WHITE. Let's cheer on the boys to another B1G win and continue this great season as we push for something special. Go Ducks!

It's a gorgeous morning in Eugene and looking at the current conditions, it's a perfect day for football. Illinois comes calling to Autzen today, bringing another Top 25 match-up for the Oregon Ducks. They are the No. 1 team in the country, by the way. The Fighting Illini come in as one of the other really good stories in the B1G Ten Conference. Fun fact, the first game that yours truly saw at Autzen took place in 1995 when Illinois lost to Oregon 34-31. They say you never forget your first time, and I will never forget that Saturday in Autzen. Fast forward to today and it's time to talk about the weather because it could and I say could be interesting.

Temperatures will rise into the mid-60s at kickoff. A south wind blowing around 7 mph will swirl around Autzen. As of 10 a.m. Saturday morning, the Satellite shot shows clouds and precipitation streaming off to the northeast, however, Eugene remains in the clear sector. That line of energy will slowly move to the east, but I think it holds off for the game today. Kickoff should remain dry and I don't see much in the rain department until later in the game at the absolute earliest. I would not be surprised if the game was completely dry. If you're in the stands or watching on TV, make sure to wear YELLOW. Let's cheer on the boys to another B1G win. Go Ducks!

The Oregon Ducks held on for a B1G win last Saturday at Autzen. The stadium was on fire and the Oregon faithful showed the conference how big the home field advantage really is. The weather was perfect and for the second week in a row, the weather conditions will be perfect for football.

The Oregon Ducks head east and will take on Purdue in West Lafayette, Indiana under a setting sun. The temperature at kickoff will be in the low 60s. A light SSE wind will carry just a bit of a Midwest chill with it. Clear skies will be the call for the whole game. Purdue likes to bang a big drum and yell “Boiler Up!” I think Oregon will limit that. If you’re going to the game or just watching on TV, make sure to wear WHITE and cheer on the boys to another conference win. Go Ducks!

Oh boy...It doesn't get bigger than this. The Oregon Ducks took care of Michigan State last Friday. Oregon was able to show off that Autzen crowd to a Big Ten foe, but there was a nervous undertone that ran throughout that whole game. I'm not saying that the team was looking ahead, but I think most fans were focused on today, and for good reason. The second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes come to town. It's the first time in the history of Auzten Stadium that two top 5 teams face each other. This will be the measuring stick that both teams measure the season so far. Oregon has a home field advantage, no doubt about that, and they will need it. We know what Ohio State can do, but we also know what Oregon is capable of. We've seen it before.

Onto the weather for today's contest. It's a beautiful day in Eugene. The temperature is already climbing into the mid 60's and will top out around 75 right about kickoff. Sunny skies will dominate the skies in the Willamette Valley. A very light west wind will make it feel downright pleasant at Autzen. Don Essig will tell the Ohio State faithful that "It Never Rains At Autzen Stadium" and today that will be very true. If you're tailgating or going to the game, or just watching on television, make sure to wear Black. Let's cheer on the boys to another BIG victory. Go Ducks!

Oregon returns home for their first ever Big Ten home game Friday evening. The Ducks took care of UCLA last Saturday to get our first Big Ten Conference win. With the change in conferences, it still feels weird to say Big Ten. Speaking of the Big Ten, a stalwart program with a familiar face comes calling. Jonathan Smith and his Michigan State Spartans come back to Autzen for a nationally televised contest that will have all eyes on the sixth ranked Ducks. Jonathan Smith is no stranger to what the Oregon faithful does to give Auzten that special feel each gameday. He was last here only has season as his Oregon State Beavers took the field knowing he wasn't coming back as their head coach.

The Ducks will be wearing this season's edition of the "Stomp Out Cancer" uniforms designed in part by the Lanning Family. Football is a game that is much larger than just the players on the field. It gives people hope.

The weather for Friday's contest will be nearly perfect. A cold front will come sweeping across the Willamette Valley late morning. Rain is forecast to fall around Eugene between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Amounts will be light, currently seeing about a tenth of an inch on the forecast models. The rain will be long gone by the time kickoff rolls around. Tailgating could be a little damp if you are getting the party started early. The temperature at kickoff will be in the lower 60s. Winds will be very light out of the east. It will be a chilly evening, but that won't stop us from cheering on the boys to victory. If you are going to the game, or watching on tv, make sure to wear YELLOW. Let's Go Ducks!

The DuckCast will be onsite at Autzen Friday afternoon and evening providing updates.

The Oregon Ducks head to southern California to take on the UCLA Bruins in a night-time match-up of two of the new BIG TEN teams. Oregon arrives in Pasadena fresh off a bye week and beating Oregon State two weeks ago. The Ducks will be looking to go 4-0 and a good start to conference play.

Temperatures at kickoff will be right around 70 degrees and will only fall slightly as the game progresses. A very slight east wind will meander through the Rose Bowl. It will be a perfect evening for a college football game.

If you are headed to the game or just watching on TV, make sure to wear WHITE. Let's cheer on the boys to victory and get our first BIG TEN Conference win. Go Ducks!
