I just continue to try to write from a place of hope. Then my own neurosis, and maybe being a libra gets in the way, and I can’t make up my mind. There is this constant back and forth battle in me personally and I am sure that comes out in my writing”

Posted • I wrote “Still Out There Running” for the album ‘Tearing At The Seams’. I didn’t know how the song was going to fit with the other material on that record, as there were a lot of songs that ultimately didn’t end up on the album, but “Still Out There Running” was one of the songs that stood out to me. I was going through a lot in my personal life at that time and feel this song captures that transition in my life. It seemed to have come from outside of myself and it’s one of my all-time favorites.

Mastered Elle and I had been talking about working on a couple of tunes and doing a version of one of the Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers Christmas songs. But as we were working on it, we decided it would be fun to write our own. Joseph said we should write a Christmas to forget in reference to how hard this year has been for everyone, so we ran with the idea.

Posted • I really love the work that Sam and Kevin have done together in the past, so I asked them to be a part of the Marigold Singles. We all have a mutual love for Leonard Cohen’s writing. We felt that "There Is A War" speaks to the world we currently find ourselves in. We had a lovely time hanging, laughing, and recording. Mastered
