Curry County’s population is 22,364. The economy consists of forest products, agriculture, commercial and sport fishing, recreation and tourism. KGBR is located in Gold Beach at the mouth of the world-famous Rogue River and in the heart of Oregon’s Banana Belt and is known as the “BRIDGE to all good music”. Gold Beach proper has a population of 2100 and is the County Seat. It is also the center of Curry County and home of the Curry County Fair. Curry County residents are price-conscious shoppers and are willing to travel long distances to find what they want—at the price they want—and usually buy in quantity.
