How much can your life change in a moment?
TYPICALLY TRAFFICKED is an upcoming 10-minute short film based on a true story of an indigenous woman’s survival and escape from a human trafficking ring. Human trafficking happens to people of all ages, genders, and creeds, but is disproportionally high among Native and indigenous communities. This film aims to hold a light to the dark, and expose these crimes to the world so that we may better protect our most vulnerable.
The second of two short films projects I’m proud to announce I’m working on for BOLDtFEST 2026 as DP and co-editor. While it is a departure from the usually light comedies into something darker, I feel very strongly that this is an important story worth telling, and presented in a way that all audiences can understand, and lead to greater understanding and dialogue around the reality of human trafficking. Premiering October 16 at the Eureka Theater, for one night only (future release platforms TBD).
