Our hardware store burned, and out of everything we lost, this table stopped me in my tracks. It was my parents’ first table when they got married. Dad traded a broke horse for it because they didn’t have anything starting out. It’s charred now, but it’s still standing — kind of like us.

What’s gotten us through is the way this community/county has shown up. You’ve fought a scary fire, boarded up my windows and doors, cleaned, hugged, prayed, fed us, and reminded us what small towns are made of. I grew up in Greenwood County, it will always have my heart.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you. The store may have burned, but the people around us have never shined brighter! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
