This Saturday, Sept. 6, it's the 2nd annual Carole's Critters Pet Adoption & Fundraiser in Blue Lake right next door to the Sapphire Palace.

Meet us there for pet adoptions, live music from A Banjo Makes 3 and The Smashed Glass, food trucks, craft vendors plus a beer garden!

$10 (cash only), kids under 12 are free. This is a pet friendly event, but leashes are required.

Door proceeds go to to the HCAS Emergency Medical Fund that the wonderful Friends for Life administers.

Carole's Critters honors the legacy of our former Lost Coast Communications colleague Carole Ann Morgal and continues her commitment to our four legged friends.

We hope to see you in Blue Lake Saturday from Noon - 4:00pm.

English guitarist Michael Geoffrey Ralphs was a founding member of Mott the Hoople and Bad Company.

He was born March 31, 1944 in Stoke Lacy, Herefordshire, England. His death was announced today, June 23, by Bad Company. He had been dealing with complications following a stroke.

Mick Ralphs was 81 years old.
