🎭 Special Community Casting Opportunity!

While the Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission does not typically share non-film casting calls or theater auditions, we're pleased to make a one-time exception to help spread the word about this unique local production. Please note that this is a special accommodation and not a change to our regular posting policy.

Sting of the Barb, an original dinner theater production performing Thanksgiving weekend in Eureka, is holding another round of auditions to complete its cast.

📅 Audition Dates: Tuesday & Wednesday, July 28 & 29

Currently Casting:
• Several strong male actors for courtroom and character-driven roles
• A confident college-age female
• A young male in his early 20s
• A confident female with a strong personality
• A funny, bold father figure (30s)
• A memorable small role for a young boy or girl

Set in the late 1930s, Sting of the Barb is a dramatic mystery featuring an engaging courtroom second act. The production will have three performances over Thanksgiving weekend, including a benefit performance supporting the Humboldt Community Breast Health Project.

🎬 Audition Information
A monologue is required. You may bring one of your own, or one can be provided for you to review and perform.

The production team is looking for dependable actors with strong stage presence and clear voices.

HLOC’s Fiona and Carol Ryder join Wendy Butler in the studio. Art Attitude airs on KZZH-LP 96.7 FM and kzzh.accesshumboldt.net Fridays at 8 a.m. and Saturdays-Sundays at 9 a.m.
