Luke 16:10

"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much..."

The morning feedings, the water buckets, the fence checks, the small daily tasks that nobody notices but still need to be done.

It's easy to focus on the big goals, the dream farm, the future plans, the things I'm working toward.

But God often teaches faithfulness in the small things first.

Before the harvest comes, there's planting.
Before the barn is full, there's daily care.
Before bigger responsibilities come, there are smaller ones that still deserve my best effort.

This verse reminds me that faithfulness isn't measured by the size of the task.

It's measured by how I handle what's been entrusted to me today.

So whether it's a single animal needing care, a small project, or just the ordinary work of the day, I want to be faithful with it.

Because the little things matter to God. 🤍🌱

🔧 Toolbox Tuesday: Hurricane Prep 🌀

Living in the South means hurricane season is a reality, and when you have animals depending on you, being prepared before a storm is just as important as stocking up on food and water for your family.

🐴 One Hurricane Prep Tip for Horses & Mini Mules

If there's a chance your horse or mule could get out due to damaged fencing, one simple trick is to place a luggage tag, livestock tag, or even a zip-top bag containing your contact information securely braided into their mane.

Include:
📞 Your phone number
🏠 Your address (or at least your town/county)
👤 Your name

If someone finds your animal after the storm, they can contact you immediately instead of having to wait for a microchip scan or social media post to find its owner.

Some owners also write their phone number directly on the animal's hoof with a permanent marker as a temporary backup identification method.

🌀 The best hurricane prep is done long before a storm is on the radar. Having a plan in place means less stress for you and a safer outcome for your animals.

🐰💜 A Little Trip Down Memory Lane

As I continue shifting the focus of my rabbitry, I wanted to share a photo of one of my all-time favorite homegrown rabbits, sweet Bellweather.

Bellweather was a daughter of Sailor, and from the moment she was born, there was just something special about her. She had the sweetest personality and was one of those rabbits that always made me smile when I walked into the barn. I was incredibly proud of this little doe and everything she represented in my breeding program.

Even though my focus has changed over the years, rabbits like Bellweather remind me why I fell in love with raising rabbits in the first place. Sometimes I catch myself daydreaming about adding a pair or trio of Netherland Dwarfs back to the farm someday. Maybe one day I'll even explore importing some new lines and see where that journey leads.

For now, I'll just enjoy the memories and appreciate the special rabbits that helped shape my rabbitry along the way. 💜🐰

🐇✨ Expected Breedings Update! ✨🐇

With the temperatures finally starting to cool down a bit, I'm excited to share that I plan to breed my Champagne d'Argent rabbits this week!

Champagne d'Argents are known for their beautiful silver coats, calm personalities, and excellent meat production qualities. If all goes well, that means adorable kits could be arriving in about a month!

As always, breeding plans are subject to Mother Nature's approval, but I'm looking forward to the possibility of adding a new generation to the rabbitry soon.

Who else gets excited for baby season when the weather starts cooperating? 🐰❤️
