“Water is Life” our short film about the great lakes and the challenges they face.

Last week Anthony Ponce on Good Day Chicago interviewed me as we discussed the issues facing the Great Lakes and how the youth will become caretakers in the future. We discussed the screening of a portion of The Sweetwater Seas Documentary “Water is Life” film at the Michigan Maritime Museum’s Whisper’s Across the Water Film showcase.

This week is National Park Week and with the cuts this administration has done we are in a place where many may be closed and let go on maintenance. Need a bathroom? Good luck. Finally got a shot of the comet Tsunchinshon ATLAS last night. Never could see in with my eyes. I had to make several exposures across the sky to find it.

After missing the unbelievable show of the Northern Lights Monday night I was still watching all the indicators to see if they might be visible last night. I debated to go down at midnight to see if they were out but knew I would regret it if I didn't and they had come out. These are the best northern lights I've been able to photograph...so far! They were not really visible to the naked eye but the camera captured them. Enjoy!

Went down to the lake once again to try and see the C2023 C3 comet, but alas, once again we never saw it before twilight overwhelmed it somewhere in the sky. But we did get these two images and a lot more which I'll post in the next few days. Enjoy.
