At 1STEP Training, founded by Braden Fitzjerrells—a former collegiate basketball player at the University of Southern Indiana, Boston marathon runner, and expert in exercise science and sports performance—our vision is to empower individuals of all ages to take the first step toward lasting transformation. We go beyond physical gains, fostering a vibrant community built on encouragement, accountability, and shared growth. By delivering personalized, functional training plans, we aim to elevate performance, build resilient strength, and prevent injuries, helping clients not only excel in their pursuits but also thrive holistically in life.
- Adult Class Styles -
Our adult classes are designed for diverse fitness levels and goals, emphasizing functional movements that translate to everyday life and long-term vitality. Each style incorporates expert coaching to ensure safe, progressive development.
• Strength and Conditioning: This core program focuses on building foundational power through resistance training, compound lifts, and metabolic conditioning. Sessions blend heavy weight work with bodyweight exercises to enhance muscular endurance, bone density, and overall resilience, ideal for adults seeking sustainable strength without plateaus.
• Functional Fitness: Drawing from real-world demands, these dynamic classes prioritize multi-planar movements like kettlebell swings, battle ropes, and agility drills. The goal is to improve mobility, stability, and coordination for better daily function—think carrying groceries effortlessly or hiking without fatigue—while incorporating HIIT bursts for efficient fat loss and cardiovascular health.
- Sport Performance Youth Classes -
For young athletes aged 8-18, our sport performance classes bridge the gap between training and competition, tailored to developmental stages and specific sports. Led by certified coaches, we emphasize injury prevention, skill transfer, and fun to instill lifelong habits.
Sessions integrate speed, agility, power, and recovery drills—such as plyometrics, sprint mechanics, and sport-specific simulations—while monitoring growth factors to avoid overtraining.
