WOW. What a night!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the launch of Art of the Chat. We were thrilled to see a packed room filled with creatives, area businesses, nonprofit organizations and community members who care deeply about the arts.

The energy, engagement, and enthusiasm in the room exceeded all expectations and one thing became very clear; we will need a bigger room next time!

A special thank you to musician Gregg Martin for sharing his story, experiences, and insights. Many attendees commented on how eye-opening it was to hear about the incredible number of venues and opportunities musicians once had in our region, and how much that landscape has changed over the years.

I want to also thank our sponsors Peanut Galleries Photography and Evansville Photography Studio (Dawn Greenwald), 22 Tango Health and Alternative Wellness (Kristina Bellew), Goebel Commercial Realty (Brittany Russell), Media Irene (Irene Jaskey), Wild Women of Justice Networking Group (Leigh Perry), and a special shout out to Nellie’s North for providing the venue.

The conversations didn’t end when the event did. New ideas were shared, new connections were made, and new possibilities emerged. One of the most exciting things that happened wasn’t even planned. A group of passionate attendees organically came together to form a committee dedicated to keeping this momentum going and exploring ways to strengthen and support the creative community throughout the Tri-State. That’s exactly what Art of the Chat was designed to do, create connections that lead to action.

This was more than an event. It was the beginning of a conversation about where the arts community is today, and where we can go together.

Thank you for being part of it. The future looks bright, and we’re just getting started. See you next time!

Most people only see the performance, not the years of hustle, missed turns, lucky breaks, or lessons learned the hard way.

So, what is Art of the Chat? It is so much more than music, it's about bringing people together; it's about connection!

This article dropped just in time! Discover why the conversation and open exchange that happens on the 9th is one you won't want to miss.

Special thanks to our sponsors: Peanut Galleries Photography, Media Irene, Goebel Commercial Realty - Brittany Russell, 22 Tango Alternative & Holistic Health Services, Wild Women Ladies of Justice Group, and also to Nellie's North for hosting us.

Every creative knows there are two versions of any artistic life: The one people see, and the one lived. There’s what happens on stage, and then there’s everything it took to get there. The late nights, endless rehearsals, caffeine-fueled mornings, unexpected detours, career pivots, lucky breaks...

Careers aren't built by talent alone. They're built through conversations, relationships, introductions, lessons learned, doors opened, and people willing to share what they've experienced.

Stories change, but the principle stays the same. People connect with people! Stay tuned.......
