The only time ice beats fire 🏒 who should he face next?

Darrel was thrilled to have a bit of a break in between dog sitting to practice some hockey 😊

And that's a wrap 🎬
This week we got to be part of something very cool and a first for us! We trained our 🍑s off all week to be part of a scene in TAILSPIN !

I never would have thought Darrel, let alone GERTRUDE would be able to be part of a scene so challenging but they proved me wrong. It was a lot of hard work and focus and the dogs had the time of their lives.

We got to meet some really cool dogs (and people 😆) and learned so much that's really going to help our training journey.

Can't wait to share more soon! I'm just excited that Gertrude gets to finally be in the spotlight like her brother. 🤩

Quinn and Darrel have been besties since covid, but this is the first time actually meeting irl 😆

Actual besties also meeting for the first time irl, I love the internet for us

Always tryna show off 🙄

Tricks for fun in between training sessions

Too tired dogs atp

Hockey break ofc

So many good boys and girls and beautiful breeds

Literally amazing (cannot believe it)

Omg we did it. The room was full of SCREAMING "yayyy" "goood boy" "good girl" 🤣

Gertrude's larva update:

Good news it was a botfly! These guys are not common in our area but I guess quite common in more rural areas.

How long did she have it? Typically they take about 3-4 months to get to this phase, so yes, she has been nursing this larva baby for about a month until she birthed it last week.

Was there another one? No. Well we dont think so. When she went to the vet there were no others in the burrow, however her wound is still healing so tbh.

When taking this video I found another bug... i do NOT think it was related, just an insect trying to catch a ride. They are all up to date on bug and worm meds so I'm hoping Marvin was a one time thing because idk if I could deal with helping her birth a second larva baby like that ever again. 🤢
