Kent Sturgis Publishing Services, LLC We help put people into books, whatever it takes--content evaluation, editing, book design, printing, and consulting on marketing issues.

I like fitting into publishing projects for which I can do the most good whether it be as a consultant / mentor, editor, packager, and / or print manager. My experience ranges from large turn-key book projects for museums, municipalities, and non-profits to smaller-scale retainer consulting in which I work one on one with writers, guiding them through the maze of book-publishing options and around the many pitfalls inherent in this quirky industry.

DUMB LUCK
I rented a cabin in the little town of Wiseman, population 11and about 250 miles north of Fairbanks along the Dalton Highway, for a week-long photo shoot of northern lights. With clear skies and a full moon I spent my nights driving up and down the road looking for great mountain landscapes and waiting for northern lights to appear. I was photographing this aurora display over Mt. Dillon with my shutter opened for 11 seconds when a meteor fireball shot through my frame. I had never seen a meteor, much less imagined catching the image of one in my camera. Can you believe that the fireball came right through the frame in the exact spot I would have wanted it to? I often talk about serendipity and being in the right place at the right time, but this was just dumb luck.
