It's time to recap the best, most exciting, incredible, high school football season I've ever been a part of!

Having a boy play for this team and getting to be part of it myself in a small way was one of the funnest moments of my life.

It's hard though too... Only one team gets to end their season with a win and Wapsie Valley was close enough to taste it.

At the community pep rally the night before the semifinals, legendary coach Tony Foster gave an epic season recap that can't be duplicated... But I can take us back to the beginning of this memorable season.

Back in '96, Sarah and I began dating... And let me tell ya, there was no greater example of young people not being ready for dating relationships than us.

We did everything wrong! EVERYTHING!!!

Tons of pain and suffering all in the name of "love," emotions and teenage hormones! 😂

(Yes, November Rain by Guns and Roses was our official song) 😂

How did this relationship make it our 24th wedding anniversary???

In 2001 ... We figured out "What Is Up"⬆️✝️

There ain't no other way to explain it!

We were headed down a road of brokeness for ourselves and future family... But God has much better plans if we are willing to follow His will for our lives.

And that is why I do what I do and will never stop!

But behind every so-called "great" man is an even greater woman!

So thank you Sarah for always believing in us, especially when it was difficult and you probably should have walked away.

Look what God did because of His grace and our faithfulness! It's almost unbelievable!

Happy 24th!

We gotta do something big next year for 25!!!
