📢 Traveler & Public Safety alerts
🚧 Expect traffic restrictions along Parks, Elliott, and Glenn Highways near active fire zones — watch for firefighting operations and pilot-car systems. Check https://511.alaska.gov/ fore real time road closures and conditions.
🛟 Stay safe: Register for alerts, keep a go-kit, prepare defensible space, and avoid travel in affected areas.
⚠️ Do not operate drones in fire areas! Flying drones or UAS (unmanned aircraft systems) within or near wildfires could cause injury or death to firefighters and hamper their ability to protect lives, property, and resources. If you fly, we can’t!
