Love film and fascinated by the Cold War? This class brings both together. 🎥 In HIST F434: Topics in American Film History, students will study how directors, writers, and studios used cinema to respond to Cold War politics from roughly 1945 to 1991. From nuclear anxiety to questions of loyalty and identity, you will see how film style, storytelling, and genre helped shape what audiences believed about the world.

HIST F434 runs Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:40 to 5:10 p.m., with in person (CRN 36287) and online (CRN 36282) sections.
