❄️ Winter Cabin Simmer Pot ❄️
Fresh ingredients only and it smells like pure comfort.
Here’s what I used:
🍊 Fresh orange slices
🌿 Cinnamon sticks
🌿 Bay leaves
🌿 Rosemary
✨ Optional: vanilla, cloves, brown sugar, a pine clipping (I used all but the pine clipping)
Let it simmer low and slow… cozy magic. 💛

It’s one of my absolute favorites to make especially because I always keep jars of potatoes and jars of my homemade broth on the shelf.

A couple jars of potatoes, a good pour of that rich homemade broth, some milk, plenty of cheese, seasoning with your heart, and a quick slurry…
and suddenly you’ve got a bowl of pure comfort. 💛

Use it, freeze it, or can it. You’ll thank yourself later.

I went through SO many jars of the turkey broth I canned last year while cooking yesterday’s dinner. It made everything richer, cozier, and honestly… the best gravy ever.

Save the scraps, make the broth, stock your pantry. Future you will be cheering. ✨

Today was one of those days where just getting out of bed took everything I had. The kids had cake for breakfast because I just didn’t have it in me to fight over the usual morning routine. I had more kitchen fails today than I’ve had all year… but I just kept going.

And somehow, in the middle of the chaos, the stress and noise everything melted away for a moment while I chopped veggies for the holiday cooking. It wasn’t perfect, but it was peaceful and today, that was enough. 🤍

I’ve had a few people ask about dinner rolls for the holiday, so I’m opening up pre-orders! I’ll be make them in packages of 12 rolls for $10.

Pick-up will be on the 26th or earlier if you need them before then!
