"Cordae, in collaboration with Rock The Bells and M&M's, joined forces for the HBCU School of Music Campaign, announced in December 2023. This campaign aimed to honor and celebrate the impact of HBCUs on Hip-Hop's legacy and culture. The partnership also allowed Cordae to give back to HBCUs by mentoring students. He expressed his admiration for Hip-Hop and LL COOL J, and how this opportunity was a no-brainer for him.
The campaign saw four students from different HBCUs, Zeke, JJ Siegel, Michael Randolph, and Khaylah Jones, producing Cordae's performance at the National Museum of African American Music in October 2023. Cordae, who recently became a father, said fatherhood has greatly influenced his desire to preserve Black culture in academic spaces and beyond. He emphasized the importance of investing in Black youth and education. In terms of his music, Cordae promised to release more music in 2024 and to always have something worth hearing.
