Springfield’s 1911 DS Prodigy series of handguns is a take on the ever-popular hybrid-frame, 2011-style double-stack handgun from a company that is known for its extensive line of 1911s.

Since its introduction in 2022, Springfield Armory has expanded the Prodigy family with a myriad of barrel length, frame size, optics mount, and finish options. The company's latest variant is the 1911 DS Prodigy 3.5" AOS.

"Most shooters are trying hard. The problem is that many shooters practice emotionally instead of intentionally. They react to mistakes instead of studying them. They chase performance instead of understanding the behaviors creating performance. Somewhere along the way, frustration replaces curiosity and learning starts slowing down. It’s not their fault; no one showed them another way.

The Tabula Rasa method is designed to change that relationship. Instead of treating mistakes like failure, the shooter learns to treat them as information. Each repetition becomes an opportunity to observe performance honestly, apply one meaningful correction and then mentally smooth the slate flat before the next attempt. No emotional baggage. No range theatrics. Just another clean opportunity to learn something useful about themselves."

Today, the market for military-surplus ammunition is vastly different than it once was. The old standbys of Soviet-produced 7.62x39 mm and 7.62x54 mm R are no longer cheap enough to stack thousands of rounds a month with leftover money from a paycheck. Surely, there must be some affordable options for 2026, right?

Check out the link below for our tips on finding affordable surplus ammo in the modern era. 👇

Just before the start of World War II, the German army needed a new sidearm to replace its aging P08 Luger, which was time-consuming and expensive to make. Their answer was the Walther P38.

"When Browning ceased production of the Hi Power pistol in 2018, it looked like it was the end of one of the most prolific fighting pistols of all time.

However, in 2021, Springfield Armory introduced the SA-35 pistol, which was an updated clone of the iconic Browning Hi Power, and since then the platform has experienced a resurgence, with a lot of younger and newer shooters gaining an appreciation of the last gun design in which John Browning was involved.

Now, Springfield Armory has made the SA-35 even more appealing to those interested in a compact, concealed-carry pistol with a new 4-inch barreled version of its SA-35."

No stranger to rebirth, C**t has recently spun off an optics division to make sure that, in a world where optics are considered to be standard equipment, a fully kitted-out gun can be all-pony.

To achieve this goal, in addition to introducing magnified optics, C**t is also offering a rifle red-dot and magnifier, along with a handgun red dot.
