Presenting this stunning Los Angeles home, once the cities first modern art museum, now beautifully restored back to its historic 20th-century roots.

Designed by designer Jonathan Browning, this project drew inspiration from Old Los Angeles, particularly the 1910-1930s. One of the most notable parts of the renovation done by Browning was the transformation of the kitchen: expanded to create a more open layout while still preserving the homes historic character.

The modern home features stand out elements including the dining room, which showcases a striking 14-foot-long mohair banquet paired with a two-part dining table. Combining history with modern design this home is paying homage to its former life as a modern art museum.

We are thrilled to announce Lori Weitzner as the LUXE Red Award winner in the Tile: Design category!

Lola, designed by Lori Weitzner in collaboration with Artistic Tile, created a modern reimagining of an arabesque. They refracted, layered, and textured the classic shape, creating a palimpsest of pattern play with clear reflections of the original. Crafted entirely in-house in Secaucus, NJ, this intricate tile pattern can be fully customized.

Made by Roger Thomas with Global Views, the Stone Stud Area Rug alludes to Venice’s distinguished palazzos. Inspired by Roger Thomas’ Venice apartment and its stunning architecture, the pointed pyramid shape of the stones in its foundation inspired the initial drawings, along with a similar design found on the Doge’s Palace in Venice. Roger Thomas includes horizontal lines to convey the shadows cast at midday.⁠

The Life in Balance Spa at Miraval Austin was designed with relaxation, balance, and well being at its core. A striking oxidized steel and copper symbol at the entrance sets the tone for the transformative experience within.⁠

Designed by Clodagh Design, in collaboration with integrated energy healer Alberto Amura, they created location specific mandalas for each Miraval destination, now a signature of the brand. The Austin mandala blends the Texas State symbol with the elemental details, fostering harmony and a sense of mysterious beauty.⁠
