Asa Dunlevey's 2 Home Runs driving in 4 runs push the Bobcats past the Vincennes Trailblazers 10-2 this afternoon at FNB Field.

The Bobcats collected 11 hits with 2 Home Runs by Dunlevey in the 2nd and 6th inning also adding a double to score a total of 5 runs in the 9 inning game.

Drake Buffington started on the mound for the Bobcats going 5 innings, striking out 8, 3 hits and 2 runs. Nate Stivers came in the top of the 6th, striking out 6, and giving up 1 hit. Drake Hartline would close out the game in the 9th allowing only 2 hits.

The Bobcats would score 2 in the 1st on a RBI double by Gael Salinas. Dunlevey's 2 run Home Run in the 2nd would put the Bobcats up 4-0.
The 3rd, 4th, and 5th would be scoreless leaving a total of 5 runners on the bases. The 6th would give Dunlevey his 2nd 2 run Home Run after Sean McConachie's lead off triple. The 7th would start off with an error by the Trailblazers on a throw to 1st from a slow grounder by Jordan Carter who would end up at 3rd on the over throw. Carter would score on a Sac Fly by Mayes Gosser.

Bobcats weren't done scoring coming into the bottom of the 8th. A double by Dunlevey and Kasey Lowe's 32nd hit by pitch would set it up for Cam Napier's RBI double. Salinas RBI single scores 2 more.

Coach McCue and his Bobcats broke 2 more records. The single season team Home Run record now sits at 46 and team season run record.

Johnny Lee and the Bobcats take the win against the Vincennes Trailblazers today at FNB Field in 7 innings 14-3.

Lee pitched 7 full innings, striking out 8, giving up 3 hits, and walking none in the run ruled game.

The Bobcats offense had a slow start at the plate, until the 3rd inning when Garrett Schmidt started it off with a lead off single. Asa Dunlevey's Sac Bunt moves Schmidt to 2nd. Kasey Lowe draws a walk but is out on a force when Cam Napier grounds to the short stop. Gael Salinas would double to score 2 runs and put the Bobcats on the board. Jordan Carter walks and Chase Loesch also doubles to score 2 more runs.

The Trailblazers would cut the Bobcat lead in half after a 2 run Home Run by the number 4 hitter, Dillon Warnick.

The Bobcats scored 2 more runs in the 5th off of 2 walks, one intentional to Salinas, a couple wild pitches and a RBI ground out.

The 6th inning put the icing on the cake, with 8 runs scored. Josh French would break the stolen base recorded at 43. Mayes Gosser and Loesch would both hit 2 run Home Runs in the inning. Lowe would also add to his hit by pitch record which now sits at 31.

Lee would shut the Trailblazers down in the 7th ending the game.

The Bobcats improve to 34-17 overall.

Bobcats split a double header with the Kaskaskia Blue Devils on 4/25 at FNB Field.

Game 1:
It was a battle back and forth throughout the 9 innings with the Blue Devils scoring 2 in the top of the 1st. The Bobcats battled back in the bottom of the 1st scoring 1 after back to back singles by Cam Napier and Gael Salinas. A Sac Fly from Jordan Carter would advance the runners into scoring position. A single by Chase Loesch would score Napier.

Drake Buffington would keep the Blue Devils scoreless the next 3 innings, while the Bobcats would extend their lead scoring 1 in the 2nd from a double from Mayse Gosser, Garrett Schmidt walked, Asa Dunlevey Sac Bunt, walk to Kasey Lowe would load the bases and Napier would be Hit by a pitch to score tying the game.
The Bobcats would take the lead in the 3rd with a Solo Home Run by Gosser.

Bobcats would score 3 more in the 4th on Lowes 29th hit by pitch of his season, a walk to Napier, Carter's RBI, Loesch and Schmidt would add to their RBI totals.

The Blue Devils would add 3 in the 5th giving the Bobcats a 1 run lead.

The Blue Devils scored 2 more in the 7th and 8th while the Bobcats only added 1.
Going into the bottom of the 9th, Bobcats down by 2, Schmidt reaches base and Lowe with his 30th season hit by pitch, would put 2 on Napier strikes out for the 2nd out. Salinas would single to right scoring Schmidt, Carter then hits a walk off triple to score 2 to win the game 10-9.

Game 2:
The Bobcats had a hard time making good contact with the ball going 3 up 3 down the first 3 innings.

The Blue Devils would score 2 in the 1st, 3 in the 2nd, and 3 in the 3rd inning, giving them a 8-0 lead going into the 4th.

The Bobcats would find connection with Napier single, Salinas walked, Napier stole 3rd base. Carter would walk loading the bases. With Gosser up to bat, a wild pitch would score Napier, and Gosser's ground out would score Salinas. Josh French added an RBI single to give the Bobcats 3 runs total in the inning.

That would be the last time the Bobcats would score in the game.

The Blue Devils would add one more in the 5th.
The Bobcats would lose game 2, 3-9.

The Lady Bobcats split with the Rend Lake Lady Warriors today at Southwest Park.

Game 1:
The Lady Bobcats run ruled the Warriors in 5 innings with a score of 12-4.

The Bobcats bats were on fire with Harper Holeman starting the scoring off in the first inning with a 2 out Solo Home Run.
The Warriors and the Lady Bobcats would answer back in the 2nd scoring 1 each.
In the top of the 3rd, the Warriors took the lead scoring 3. With the Lady Bobcats down 4-2, the bottom of the 3rd would open the flood gates and the Lady Bobcats would rack up 9 runs taking the lead 11-4.
The 5th inning would close with a ground out by Holeman scoring Peyton Smith for the winning run.
Lexi Miller got the win on the mound striking out 4.

Game 2:
The Lady Bobcats were hitless until the 4th inning when Peyton Smith started the inning off with a single. Alicia Stanley would put down a Sac Bunt moving P. Smith over to 2nd. Holeman followed with an RBI double to score P. Smith. Chloe Papineau line drives for an out to bring up Rylee Hendricks who would single up the middle to score Holeman to tie the game at 2.

The Warriors would score 2 more runs taking the lead in the 5th and 6th.

The Lady Bobcats would remain scoreless and take the loss 2-4.
Chloe Papineau went the full 7 innings on the mound striking out 3 and 0 walks.

Our next Bobcat broadcast is Saturday 4/25 when Bobcat baseball is at home for Sophomore day. Stream will begin before noon.

The Frontier Community College Bobcats softball team split a Sunday doubleheader with Shawnee Community College at Southwest Park in Fairfield, dropping a high-scoring opener before bouncing back with a dramatic walk-off victory in game two.

Game 1:
Frontier battled offensively but couldn’t keep pace with Shawnee in a 16-7 loss to open the day.

SCC wasted no time jumping ahead, as Kayden Glover launched a three-run home run in the top of the first inning. The Bobcats answered in the bottom of the second, taking a 4-3 lead thanks in part to an RBI single from Peyton Smith.

Shawnee regained control in the third inning, stringing together key hits from Glover, Shelby Grove, and Zoey Linton to move ahead 7-4. Frontier responded in the bottom half of the inning, tying the game at 7-7 behind contributions from Hessi Johnson, Kyndall Webb, and Kayleigh Fodge.

The Saints broke the tie for good in the fourth inning. An RBI single by Kiernyn Bond, followed by a wild pitch, pushed Shawnee ahead 9-7, and SCC continued to add on from there to secure the win.

Frontier tallied 12 hits in the contest, led by Alicia Stanley, who went 3-for-4 at the plate. Fodge, Johnson, Webb, Smith, and Stanley each recorded an RBI.

Shawnee collected 15 hits, with Glover driving in six runs and going 3-for-4. Bond added a perfect 4-for-4 performance, while the Saints also showcased aggressive base running with seven stolen bases.

Game 2:
The Bobcats responded in thrilling fashion in game two, earning a 4-3 walk-off win in extra innings.

With the game tied 3-3 in the bottom of the eighth, Harper Holeman delivered the game-winning hit, singling to score the winning run and secure the split for Frontier.

Frontier struck first in the opening inning as Chloe Papineau blasted a two-run home run to give the Bobcats an early advantage. Shawnee answered in the third inning, tying the game at 2-2, before taking a 3-2 lead in the fourth on a passed ball.

Holeman responded in the bottom of the fourth with a solo home run to even the score at 3-3, setting the stage for late-inning heroics.

Holeman led the way offensively, going 3-for-4 with a home run, double, and the walk-off single. Papineau added two RBIs and was dominant in the circle, earning the complete-game victory. She allowed eight hits and three runs (one earned) over eight innings while striking out four.

Peyton Smith added two hits for Frontier, while Shawnee was led by Kylie Kleppin with two hits. The Saints played clean defensively, committing no errors.
