While you’re not getting research advisor, some advisors are also not getting students. Contact Department Heads to recommend you to Professors who might be interested in your research. Before asking, have a research plan similar to theirs.

🎓 Commonwealth Shared Scholarship: Now Open for 2026/2027

​The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme (CSSS) for the 2026/2027 academic year is currently open for applications!

The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship is offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in partnership with UK universities and is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

1. Purpose:

The scheme aims to support talented students from the least developed and lower-middle-income Commonwealth countries who would otherwise be unable to afford studying in the UK. Scholars are selected based on their academic merit and their potential to contribute to the development of their home country upon their return.

2. What it Covers (Fully Funded): The scholarship is comprehensive and generally covers:

​Full tuition fees.
​A monthly stipend (living allowance).
​Approved airfare from your home country to the UK and return.
​Grants for thesis costs and study-related travel.

3. Eligibility Highlights: To be eligible, applicants must:

​Be a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth country or have been granted refugee status.

​Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.

​Hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) standard (or a lower second-class degree plus a relevant postgraduate qualification).

​Be applying for a full-time Master's course in a list of selected programs relevant to global development themes.
