Today, we pause to remember.

Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, we honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the survivors whose lives were forever changed, and the extraordinary first responders, service members, volunteers, and everyday Americans who answered fear with courage.

We remember the firefighters who climbed the stairs.
The police officers and emergency workers who ran toward danger.
The passengers and crew who showed unimaginable bravery.
The families who carried an unthinkable loss.
And the communities that came together as one.

Patriot Day is also recognized as a National Day of Service and Remembrance—an invitation to honor those we lost by doing something good for someone else.

Check on a neighbor. Thank a first responder. Support a local charity. Volunteer your time. Offer kindness without being asked.

Today, let us remember not only the tragedy, but also the strength, compassion, unity, and love that followed.

From all of us at Scenic 98 Coastal, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Hello Friends!
Some of the best opportunities in a community begin with something simple: people choosing to become involved.

In the new Scenic 98 Coastal story, “Engagement Equals Opportunity: Lewis Bear, Jr. College of Business,” Zeb Hargett explores how colleges can reach far beyond the classroom—connecting students, educators, businesses, nonprofits, and neighbors in ways that create meaningful opportunities for everyone.

The story takes us inside the Lewis Bear, Jr. College of Business at the University of West Florida, where students gain valuable real-world experience while community organizations benefit from their ideas, research, and energy.

It also shares an exciting new connection with Scenic 98 Coastal. After meeting with Dean Scott Keller, an opportunity emerged to involve a student intern in helping develop the Scenic 98 Coastal Recommendables program—our growing collection of places and experiences we would genuinely recommend to friends and subscribers.

That’s what community engagement can do.

It can help a student discover a career.
It can help a business find a fresh perspective.
It can strengthen a nonprofit.
It can turn an idea into something that benefits an entire community.

Gems like these are what Scenic 98 Coastal is all about—neighbors, organizations, and institutions working together to make this beautiful place we call home even better.
