Interested in hearing YOUR opinion in the comment section about these adapters! :
I just wanted to throw this out to every one who is into retro game cartridges. I recently purchased one of these for $16 on the internet. I own 14 NES consoles and a handful of Snes consoles. But I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only one who's old NES is sometimes a pain in the ass. Games won't load sometimes with out doing the "NES wiggle" despite if you just cleaned and polished your games and refurbished the pin connector inside your system.
I sell games for a living. Part of my job is to test these games. When dealing with NES titles, this can be a tedious undertaking that involves several hours of a day. (due to the nature of the old NES console beast)
That all ended with the purchase of the RetroBit nes to SNES adapter. Pop this sucker into your SNES and stick your NES games right into it! BAM! games load right up the first time! No NES wiggle Needed! No blowing on the cartridge (ewww) and no taking the damn game apart and re-polishing the pins. Plug and play baby!
The amount of positives on this thing far out weigh the negatives! And there are a few negatives. but no deal killers.
First thing I noticed was it seems the audio output is a little too hot at times, which causes a very slight distortion sound from the audio. While its not enough to disrupt the game play it was a little noticeable at times, but again it was pretty minor in the grand scheme of things.
Second I feel that perhaps it grips my NES games a little TOO TIGHT. - this seems to be a common issue with most clone nes products like the retron5 etc... on the other hand, part of the reason your old NES has issues , is because it's pin connector isn't tight enough... I guess you gotta weigh out the good and the bad with this one. however again, games fire right up and play great...
Third there are 10 games that this adapter will not play...
however 763 games out of 773 ain't bad if you ask me...
The big plus for me is the fact that the games fire right up and there's more space now in front of my game testing screen in my office.
For most people what this means is, in order to play NES and SNES game carts, you'll only need to have a working SNES and this adapter that costs $16.... BARGAIN!
I give the ReroBit nes to SNES adapter a Double D-Cup Bounce!
