If you are in need of some refreshing beverages. Then stop in Lost Sanity Brewery in Madelia.

Caleb and team just released One Night SMASH, a new SMASH (Single Malt And Single Hop) beer using the new variety hop "Vista" and Golden Promise malt. This Pale Ale has hints of light tropical fruit, melon, and sweet fruit.

This hop grown by us at Tonne Century Farm is one of the latest hops to be released as a public hop by the USDA.
Vista is known for is Stone Fruit, Citrus, Tropical Fruit, and Floral characteristics.

It's getting to be that time of year.
Sprayed Pre-emergence on February 12, snow and rain on February 15.
First Zeus hop shoots in the hopyard on March 13, this is 3 weeks ahead of the last couple of years.
Snow and rain in the forecast. March 24th.

With that 2024 begins.

Thank you to the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild for hosting the
Minnesota Hop Grower Association at this year's Autumn Beer Review.

The MHGA highlighted 4 Minnesota Breweries that used fresh Minnesota grown hops in their beers.

Festival attendees were encouraged to visit these Breweries, bring back a wooden nickel, spin the wheel for a prize, plus learn about the Minnesota Hop industry.
