Porch ceiling paint suggestions? Or leave as is?We have an 1891 Queen Anne Victorian, and I like the idea of a haint blue ceiling in theory. However, I don’t think it will go with our colors. I think using the trim color would be overwhelming, and the accent color (SW Aurora Brown) doesn’t look quite right either. Should we just use the body color? Our other accent color is SW Roycroft bottle green which I think may be too dark for a ceiling. Thanks for your input!

I finally had the time to demo this ugly drop ceiling in my kitchen yesterday that was added on to put can lights in back in the 70s and discovered the whole ceiling had some really cool wallpaper on. The scary discover was the wire that was left up there that was wrapped up with a band aid and the fact that the studs were only nailed into the side walls and not to the ceiling above. The can lights were old and weighed about 50 lbs each plus all the drywall and there was a metal drop ceiling frame in the middle that had fluorescent light bars. I have no idea how that weight held up for over 50 years without being nailed into properly.

Edit - for you asking … Anet Foam Ceiling Tiles 50 pack. Amazon. Gorilla glue construction adhesive. Will stick to clean calcimine 🙂

Media wall is finally finished I’m very happy with it. It’s 3 brimnes cabinets on the bottom, with a cabinet panel from the “Dutch” Home Depot, two kallax shelves with the drawer inserts, on the middle is a lack shelf cut to size and 3 led lights from ikea. Finally I put a skirting board on the bottom front of the brimnes cabinets to tie it all together and to prevent the little Lego pieces disappearing under it. I used a router in the back of the kallax shelves to hide the wires for the lights. The k***s and handles I ordered off Amazon.

Hello! Last year I moved back into my childhood home after getting divorced at 60yo. It was built in 1958, obviously. 😆 I am having a hard time picturing the bathroom any way but the way it’s been my whole life. Yellow is one of my least favorite colors. I really have a very limited budget, so paint is about my only option. I spent decades living elsewhere where I wanted wood trim and now I have it, but I’m not opposed to painting it because it is very orange. I’d like to keep the wood cabinets because my dad built them, but I wouldn’t be completely opposed to painting them either. Please give me some painting ideas. Blue is my favorite color and would like to use that in here. I also like blackmetal pulls, etc. I like the floor and don’t feel like I need to change that. I also have a bit of experience refinishing furniture so I’m not afraid of projects like that. Thanks for helping me envision this!

Thanks for the help last week, went to ikea yesterday to create more kitchen space in our rented house and the skruvby works amazing, got two lack shelves for above and the grey baskets are the trofast ones. One side is crockery the other side is shoes. It's freed up so much kitchen space, I'm a little in love!
