The New Falcon Herald is interested in your opinion about future plans for the Falcon/Peyton business community. Would you like to see more corporate (big box) stores and restaurants? If so, what brands (Kohl’s, Outback) are you interested in? Or would you like to see more small businesses (mom and pop stores), and what kind — small restaurants, clothes, etc. Thank you for your participation and interest in the growth of the eastern plains.

Studies show about 88% of people give up on their New Year’s resolutions within two weeks. In fact, so many do so that the second Friday in January has been designated as National Quitters Day!

The New Falcon Herald would like to know if our readers make and keep/quit resolutions. We will publish a summary of the results in the February issue along with some direct quotes. If we quote you, we will use only your first name and last initial…or please tell us if you want to be totally anonymous.

Did you make a resolution for 2025?

If yes, are you still working on your resolution?

What was either your resolution OR type of resolution, e.g. health, relationship, financial or other?

Other comments?

The El Paso County Division of Veterans Services will host a Veterans Claims Clinic at the El Paso County Fair & Events Center in Calhan, Colorado on January 15, 2025. El Paso County Veterans Service Officers will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to assist Veterans and family members in filing compensation claims with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Individuals will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

Veterans are encouraged to bring medical records and discharge forms (dd214)

The El Paso County Division of Veterans Services is a premier resource for Veterans seeking assistance with U.S. Veterans Affairs benefits claims. Unlike other entities, all El Paso County Veterans Service Officers are Veterans, fully accredited, and uniquely positioned to provide comprehensive support. On average, clients of El Paso County Division of Veterans Services receive double the benefit value than if they filed by themselves or with the help of another entity.

For more information or to connect with the El Paso County Division of Veterans Services, email [email protected] or call 719.520.7750.
