24/25 was a blast! I thank each and every person that trusted us to recover their harvest! These are just a few of the pictures from the start of the season that have a good story and good times surrounding them! Ready for 25/26 season already!

Took the wife hunting this afternoon to hopefully get a shot at her first deer. Sure enough, out steps a buck and she eased off a shot. He ran straight into the thickest briars I believe I’ve ever been through. I looked for blood and found a speck 20yrds from hit sight. We backed out and dropped dogs. After a few minutes, Zara and Hoss were standing over the buck. Loved needing to get the dogs involved in part of the story! Congratulations babe! Good dogs!

Loaded up a high back shot buck for this gentleman yesterday. It wasn’t the one he had thought it was but he was happy regardless! Hoss had to do some thinking to get him on the tailgate but he had it figured out about the same time we did. Buck ran almost 400yrds, turned right back around and ran his exact trail, zigzagging it occasionally, and then continued another 100yrds. Had the wind been blowing to us, it would probably have been one of those 5sec tracks. Good dog work nonetheless!

Mosses and Zara loaded up a Marion county freezer queen. Shot was taken through some thick cutover at 150 yards and hunter could not locate hit sight much less blood. The dogs crossed her line and made fast work and had her located on other side of a briar thicket. I believe she is now being comforted by applewood smoked bacon and some combination of cheese and peppers. Congratulations on a nice freezer filler!

Loaded up a nice Franklin county 8 yesterday evening. Bullet struck a tree and ricocheted. Hunter jumped the deer up while tracking and proceeded to follow blood. He lost blood and then could not locate anymore. We arrived around 12hrs after the shot. Hoss and Zara went to work and after a couple of creeks and a few hollers, they was eating. Buck went an additional 1.78 mile after he was jumped up.

We were able to help this fella out and load up an absolute stud of a public land buck. We have been in boats, but this was our first time going by canoe. Hoss let Ol' Mae get in on the action.

Pretty straight forward track here. Hunter shot at long distance with .270 and didn’t see any blood after looking for a bit. Dogs got to where buck ran and lined out. Thankful for the hunters that listen when you tell them what is needing to be done. Proud of my dogs so far this year! Hoss, Mosses, & Zara have been spot on so far! Ready to pick Susie Mae up and put her to work.

GOT ‘EM!

2/2 yesterday! Bay and dispatch!

Had another direct call tonight on same piece of public land as previous buck. We were not able to get to him until after the other track, but they agreed to wait on us. Once at hit sight with no blood being found, the dogs lined out and a few minutes later let us know his location. We got him stuck and put down for this fella!

GOT ‘EM!
Public Stud!

Got a call for a buck shot on public land earlier this morning. There wasn’t much of a blood trail and the hunter couldn’t locate anything past the initial hit site. He knew he needed dogs so he gave us a call. We weren’t able to get to him until late but wasted no time once we made the long hike in. This was the man’s first deer in 20years. Glad we were able to be apart of the story!

**as we were hiking in, his daughter sustained a pretty nasty ankle injury. I cut a sapling and made some braces and fixed them to the side of her leg with a couple of leashes. It wasn’t pretty but got the job done.

Had a direct call from some good folks we have tracked for before. His wife had shot this doe this afternoon. They waited an hour or so, went to shot sight and couldn’t find any blood. After searching they heard the deer jump up and run so they backed out and called. Dropped Hoss and Zara out of the box. As soon as they ran past hit sight they put the brakes on and lined out. 6 min later they were eating on her. Meat in the freezer! Good dogs!

Loaded a Lawrence county stud up first thing this morning. Buck was shot at 90yrds and dropped. The Hunter looked down at his phone, looked back up, and 2min later the buck was running off into thick cover. Sounded like a backwhack but glad we put the dogs on it! They hit the track and lined out straight to him. DOA
