Tonight’s Growin' Up on the Radio is going to be a very special one. I have an evening of fishing planned with another local nonprofit at 6:30pm… so, this is a perfect evening to sneak in for a “class” length show.

If you know me, you know I have fallen in love with our juvenile detention center this summer. While supporting an art class, I have developed new friendships that I cannot imagine my life without. I have strengthened existing friendships that deserve to continue. We have listened to each other and gotten to know one another on a deeper level.

Every word spoken this evening is for them ❤️✊ I will end summer school on Thursday by playing this show for them during art class. Friendship is the answer!

Last night we welcomed Brandon LaPlante of mΩTHER and Sleeping In Gethsemane into the KRFF 95.9 Radio Free Fargo studio!!

We had a fantastic evening getting to know each other while promoting a few very special upcoming local events.

Sleeping In Gethsemane's 20 year reunion and vinyl release on Sunday, August 3rd at The Aquarium with disappear forever and self-evident. Doors at 5. Music at 5:30!!

Brandon is also the owner/operator of the The Bright Beneath music collective which provides space to local musicians to create, compose, and practice their music. Come on out to the FIRST ever BRIGHT BENEATH FEST 2025 on Saturday, August 9th at Harold's On Main. They'll have 12 different bands playing 12 different styles!! Music starts at 2pm and goes until 10pm!!

It was a joy listening to Brandon share his dreams and vision for The Bright Beneath and to hear about its impact on the music community and the FM area at large. Come on out and show love to some amazing art being presented in this great community!
