This newspaper is owned by MaineToday Media. The mailing address for the Franklin Journal and all Franklin Group publications is 187 Wilton Road, Farmington, ME 04938. The Franklin Journal has been serving the community since Joseph Griffin first established a paper in 1840 which went through several transformations and a merger of the County Register and The Chronicle by 1882. The full name of this paper still retains The Franklin Journal and Farmington Chronicle in its masthead.
