For the past 3 years, weight training and F45 was only for the winter offseason

This year, I’ve kept it going through the high mileage training blocks of the Cocodona 250 right up til race day, and now into Ouray 100 and it’s grueling 42,000’ of vert

Mornings in the mountains
Evenings F45 Training At Station Park

Tue class for upper and lower body strength
Thur class I choose lower body every time

Building strength and durability to tackle the San Juans next month

Left my 2L of cold water in the fridge this morning…oh well, I knew I had this gem at mile 8 of the DC Peaks, just needed to climb 3,500’ to get there

Go to the mountains. A lot to think about. A lot to be grateful for.

10 years ago today I woke up at 4:30am to catch a flight to Denver, then drove a couple hours to check myself into the Florence, Colorado prison camp to begin a 60-month sentence.

Bri snapped this picture of me standing outside the federal prison gate with nothing more than a book of scriptures I was allowed to carry in.

10 years later, this still affects me daily

10 years later, this still affects my wife and kids daily

10 years later, my businesses are affected daily

10 years later, it’s still affecting my journey as a trail runner

10 years later, I still have trouble trusting others

10 years later and I’d make the same decision today that I made in late 2015: plead guilty, get through it, and get back to your family. One aid station at a time.

My prison sentence was a real life ultra; built on the mantra to simply get to the Next Aid Station. No voluntary race I signup for will ever be tougher than this one, regardless of the way I am judged or treated for this moment in my life.

Have you tried this drink?

I recently started hearing a lot about it. As a virgin drinker, thought I’d share my experience

Is there room in the rotation for Rockstar, Relyte, and Spylt?

My white head really needs some sun
